Activate your hazard warning lights under the following circumstances:
- When you need to abruptly slow down or stop on a motorway or unrestricted dual carriageway due to an incident or hazard ahead.
- While broken down or stopped, temporarily obstructing traffic.
If you possess a warning triangle, position it at least 45 meters (147 feet) behind your vehicle to alert other road users of your breakdown. However, refrain from using a warning triangle on a motorway.
