Considering Other Road Users

To ensure the convenience and safety of other road users, avoid parking your vehicle in locations that would obstruct traffic, such as:

  • In front of property entrances
  • At or near bus stops
  • Near the crest of a hill
  • Where the kerb has been lowered for wheelchair access
  • On bends or opposite side roads

Absolutely, never stop or park on or near a level crossing, or on the zigzag lines at a pedestrian crossing. Doing so obstructs the view of pedestrians and drivers, endangering those attempting to use the crossing.
